Updating my checklist!

Goooood morning frens!... I'm extra energetic today coz the weekends is  finally here. Yesh, I'm sure all teachers out there feel d same way I do... with the Raya hols juz around d corner, I'm already planning my full schedule 4 d whole week of Raya... This Raya hols will also be something very significant for me coz I' m helping my parents to repaint and refurbish d house... actually we renovated the house downstairs. I'm proud to know dat I have chipped in financial support to help my parents with the renovation...at first 'ada jg la rasa.. waaa..ogumu noh kopio tusin being spent'... :-) but after calculating all the expenses involved.. buying the materials, the labour fees, time and all the energy spent into it.. I finally realized...  Being involved in that process made me realize how hard it is to actually build a house... Sometimes I look at my parents and I juz feel like tearing up in my eyes.

Anyway.. back to today's topic... I'm now updating my checklist for my engagement... My boyfriend & I plan to do it sometime in December... the date will be confirmed soon... lots of things to prepare... But I think I'm having fun planning the event... Maybe I'll share some of my engagement checklist with you in my next engagement plan update.. :-)

I'm also currently surfing for wedding related sites... juz searching for ideas on wedding gowns, budgeting tools, wedding checklist, reception ideas (especially the decor and flower centerpiece), and basically EVERYTHING a bride-to-be needs to know... it's kind of fun, really! I love to envision my dream wedding almost everyday.. ahhaa.. "Gila Bayang oledi!"... Well, people say dat preparations for weddings are easier said than done... I agree... I read one of my fren's blog on her wedding preparations, her updates as her wedding drew near and finally she is now married happily ever after!.. Congrats again to my frensAnnie & Harry. her preparations were very detailed and she sort of inspired me to approach my wedding plans in a different light. Best juga dapat inspirasi ni......hehehe...

'Okay lah'... need to go and finish up some work 1st... I'll update again later..bubye!

From Sandakan to Tambunan...

Hye again... here I am updating my blog after getting inspired by blogs of frens and surfing d net on wedding preparations.. actually, I'm experiencing extreme 'homesick' symptoms recently (and it shows! hahaha) I can't wait 2 go back 2 Tambunan (my beloved hometown). If there's anything dat  cud cure my 'homesickness' (is there such word?) it definitely be my mum's comforting voice, my dad's sense of humour, my Geus' warm cuddles and my beloved Mondou's (my cat) jiggly belly hug :-p...

Arrgghh... seems like a long wait.. I'm counting d days till next weekend. Dis is going 2 b my first time driving back home from Sandakan to Tambunan... Thinking bout d long journey sure makes me a bit worried.. 'tau la kan.. first time'.. and to top off the worries, I also heard from some people dat d long stretch of road from Sandakan to Telupid is d worst part, almost like nitemare for drivers out there... coz you don't get cars passing by dat road often... especially near dark.. if you are thinking is it because of those 'paranormal entity flying' stuff?... i say maybe... However, it's actually more towards 'bad company' stuff a.k.a. 'Lanun Darat'.. they pretend dat their car broke down and will be in dire need of help... or... they will just stop your vehicle by overtaking you and stopping their car in front of d road.. 'Macam di movie oo kan?'... hehehe..

"alrite...alrite.. calm down Daphne, don't worry about d journey back. God is always there with you, every single step of the way."... yes, dat's wat I believe in... so dat is why I am absolutely sure dat everything will be fine. :-) especially when my Geus will be coming 2 Sandakan on the 18th of September... He will keep me company throughout d journey. Yeah! "I got Co-pilot oledi! ngehehehe"... so nice... ;-)

I have actually outlined a TO DO LIST especially for dis trip. So here it is, juz to share some with you guys!
  1. Buy a cage for d cat I'm bringing back home. Look 4 it in Pet Shop, Mile 4.
  2. Send my car to the Perodua service Centre at Bayangan Kembara, Mile 8.
  3. While the car is serviced, I must make sure they repair d faulty power window and door handle (I don't understand why national cars are expensive but gets easily damaged!)
  4. Pick up d kuih raya I ordered from a teacher fren.
  5. Call for an appointment with my student to do d car tint at his shop ( for a discounted price *winks)
  6. Pack a travelling goodie bag with travel essentials like 2 bottles of  mineral water, Lipton Green Tea (for me), Tropicana Twister (for Geus), titbits and tissue paper.
"Warrgghh..." getting sleepy already.. I have to stop here... well, maybe I'll dream of Tambunan tonight!! Till my next update, mmmmuuaaahh!!

Products of an amateur photographer...

Hye frens, I'm back again with photos taken during my trips and sightseeing here and there... I aspire to be a good photographer, I also have it in my heart to become professional in the future.. however, I think this  industry is very competitive as lots of photographers out there are making their own mark with their unique talents in specialized fields of photography... so, I guess for the meantime, I'll just let the professionals do their work and I'll do mine (*wink *wink)... doing what I do best, taking shots of beauty and memories the way I see it.

I love Cats & Dogs!!!

I just LOVE cats and dogs!!!... I think they are truly adorable and inspiring in so many ways. If you are an animal lover, I bet you share the same feeling towards our dearest and best 'furry frens'... I wish I had a better digital camera to take photos of my beloved pets! Anyways, pets will be pets! They are sure to entertain us in their own special way... (with or without our camera)
This is our house dog named "Monggol"
I took dis photo a few months back when he was still a puppy.. notice how he loves to pose and he's quite photogenic! now, all grown up, he isn't interested in playing and  gnawing ropes anymore... anyhow, he found a new hobby... he loves to sniff my cats' behind.. totally weird! Hope he doesn't have a cat fetish!! Yaiks!!
Reminds me of some people I saw in village parties a long time ago...
This photo is hillarious!! it's damn funny... anyway, don't get me wrong here... those beer cans at the side serve only as decorations. No cats were harmed in the making of this photo... :-) for your info, this cat is named 'Gretel' a.k.a. 'Pingut' (In Dusun language it means 'flat nose')... I was watching tv and chit chatting with my parents and suddenly she (Gretel) landed on the cushion in front of me. She immediately started getting cosy... dat's when my inspiration came. Love her lots!
Ooopss! Smack on the face...
When I took dis photo, little did i know dat one day (2 months later) the 'Cat Smacker' (along with its 2 siblings) who is named 'Handsome' will be given away to my mum's students back at my hometown... this photo was taken during one of the school holidays mid of dis year. I came home from Sandakan and took lots of pics... this has to be one of my favourites!
Even cats and dogs can see eye to eye...
I love this photo.. In it is Monggol and 'Barob' (In Dusun Language it means 'eat a lot' or glutton)... They just stood there and gazed on one another. So sweet!! Till today, they remain good friends... my Dad totally loves Barob and Monggol... he pampers them both with food, praises and lots of pats on the head.. :-)
As you can see, cats and dogs are very much like us in so many ways... its no wonder we've grown closer to our pets nowadays... I even feel like my beloved cats and dogs are a part of my family.. being an only child can be lonely at times, having them around makes my life in this world more worthwhile.

Some of my favourite pics...

Hye frens, here are some of my favourite picks from my personal collection of photos. Why are they my favourite? Well, I believe dat photos mean a thousand words... most of the times, they are self explanatory. :-)

Welcome to my blog!

Dearest friends and readers... welcome to my blog, and since this is my very first time blogging, i'd like to sit and think about all the friends I know who have constantly reminded me of the joys of blogging... after reading various blogs and feeling entertained by the stories/ pictures they shared, it finally hit me that i should come up with my own blog... i like sharing stories and certainly love taking pictures... anyways, life is built of a myriad of events...and all these events create memories... therefore, here i hope to create memories and share it with the rest of the world... :-)
